SFVGA Youth Shines 2006
Pooja Desai, 9th grade student at Capistrano Valley Highs School (Capo), has presented her paper, "How Do the Rates of Mitosis and Death of Endothelial cells Affect Angiogenesis?" to a gathering of prominent scientists of California on November 21, 2005.

Swedish Consulate and University of California President hosted this event and was attended by California Nobel Prize Winners.

Pooja was invited to present her paper to this esteemed company of Nobel Laureates.

In the summer of 2005, Pooja attended COSMOS program at University of California, Irvine to pursue her interest in science and get a first hand college experience. While attending COSMOS (California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science), she worked on this project of cancer research. She learned from several professors and other like-minded selected students from California.

Pooja's interest in science is further enhanced because of this program.

Pooja is discussing her project with KOCE, public television at California Nobel Laureate dinner on November 21.
